Camp R.O.C.K., Recognizing Our Children’s Kreativity, is back for its 7th summer! Camp R.O.C.K. is an eight week day camp for children staying in the shelter and follow up program that combines education and plenty of summer fun. This summer, children will enjoy field trips to places such as the Jacksonville Zoo and the Savannah Morning News, weekly trips to the pool, and plenty of outdoor time in SAFE Shelter’s new garden! In addition to all this fun in the sun, children will also get six hours of academic time each week. Due to the hard work and generosity of SAFE Shelter’s incredible volunteers and donors, Camp R.O.C.K. is completely free. Thanks to the Notre Dame Club of Savannah, this summer two interns from Notre Dame will serve as camp counselors and be housed by our amazing volunteers! For the second summer, Camp R.O.C.K. will be held in the newly renovated YES Center, donated by Lorraine Boice. We’re so excited for another fun summer!
